Georgia Communication Association  2024 Annual Conference and Film Festival https://gacomm.org February 16-17 Piedmont University, Demorest Georgia Submissions are due Fri, Nov 24, 2023 GCA invites paper, panel, and GIFTS (Great Ideas for Teaching Speech) proposals from faculty, students, and professionals. Both applied and research-based presentations are sought. Adjunct faculty, graduate student, and undergraduate student participation is encouraged. We especially welcome submissions from newcomers to the organization! This year, submissions will be sent through our website portal.  In order to submit, you must make a free account on the site. You do  not  have to purchase a membership prior to submitting your proposal. Once you are logged into the website, you will see the “Submission Central” link in the 2024 Conference menu. The Harambee House Looking for Interns

The Harambee House is looking for interns to assist us in our ongoing projects and work in Savannah and throughout Georgia.  We have several community-based and in-house projects, and taking on interns in several areas would be a great help to us. We are looking to take on college undergraduates or young adults of college age.  We wish to take on individuals committed to community work and involvement.  The areas for which we are seeking help: community gardens and food scarcity, air monitoring and data collection/analysis,  community outreach and organizing,  social media,  website development,  cloud services/Microsoft 365/Azure administration, and  office administration/data digitizing/archiving.   We will take on 5-8 interns and we have the funding to provide a competitive wage for their time and services.  Please share this notice within your networks and get back to me with any candidates you find.  We prefer people who live in Savannah but will consider those who will work virtu
