The Minority Serving – Cyberinfrastructure Consortium (MS-CC) is a group of HBCU leaders recently funded by the National Science Foundation to provide technology-focused programs and services for students, faculty, and staff at HBCU campuses.    Minority Serving – Cyberinfrastructure Consortium  currently hiring for a full-time, early-career role and looking for HBCU graduates with a background in communications, journalism, digital marketing, or public relations.    This is a fully remote position and interested applicants can  apply here . Sharon  Begley -STAT Science Reporting: The basics: How does it work?   Fellows will work at STAT’s Boston office alongside its team of experienced science and health reporters and editors to report and write articles for STAT. They will participate in KSJ training seminars and fellowship community events, have access to the MIT libraries, and be able to audit classes at MIT and Harvard. What are the benefits? Fellows will be paid $75,000 and receive health insurance through MIT. They will receive 10 days of vacation and get standard holidays off. Who is eligible to apply? An applicant must be residing in the U.S. and live in, or be willing to relocate to, the Boston area. Applicants must have some previous journalism experience; between six months and five years is desirable. Previous work as a science writer is not required. In compliance with federal law, fellows will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment

This position manages the production of the show to ensure that writing style, content, and presentation meet station standards. The work performed is for all media platforms, including on-air, website, app, and social media. The 2022 Summer Internship program   StoryFit   will focus on understanding the basic elements of stories and how those elements relate to story form, audience response, and appropriate measurement techniques. Our goal for the summer is to measurably enhance the reliability of our current story-elements-inference algorithm by iterating on our current approach and adding in new technologies.
