Coca Cola HBCU Sports Production Grant

  COMPETITION DETAILS Eligibility Guidelines *Any submission that does not meet the eligibility guidelines will not be considered for judging. Student(s) submitting an entry must be enrolled at an HBCU. Student(s) must intend on pursuing a career in sports broadcasting or video production. Entries may be submitted by an individual student or a team of students. More than one (1) submission per school is permitted. Content Guidelines *Each submission must include a video and an essay that meets the specified requirements Video Requirements Each submission must include a creative video that addresses this year’s competition theme:  The past, present or future of sports at your university. *This can be a documentary video, a video highlighting key moments in sports history at your school, an exploration of current university athletes pursuing professional careers, etc.  Tell a story that is compelling and captures the imagination. Oscars Gold Rising Program

HOW TO APPLY There are two ways to become a part of Gold Rising. • For California based students interested in behind-the-camera careers, click  here  to learn more about Production Track. • For students interested in applying to an internship , click  here .   DETAILS: The 2023 program runs from June through August 2023. Those interns who work directly for The Academy work a minimum of 20 hours per week. Hours vary for interns employed by participating partner companies. • Applications Open: November 2022  • Application Deadline: Internships: January 31, 2023 Production Track: February 20, 2023 • Eligibility requirements: Community College, Trade School, and University Undergraduate or Graduate students from Class of 2023 or 2024 in good academic standing are eligible. • For any questions, email  goldrising@oscars.org .

  We plan to select 5-10 brilliant students to contribute to our newspaper this semester. We want to invite your students and mentees to be a part of The Chronicle News! As an established, Black-owned publication dating back to 1986 in Mid-Michigan, it has been our intention to create safe spaces and a news outlet that will uplift our communities. In turn, we will also create inclusive spaces for young Black professionals to learn and grow as they stride into their bright futures. It is our intention to serve your students well by supporting them throughout the duration of their time with us. With that, we look forward to tailoring the internship and their work experiences to best fit their passions, interests, existing talents and future aspirations.  Right now, we have opportunities for  Writers  as their pieces will be published on our digital platform and in print, with newspapers disseminated around Lansing, East Lansing, and across the Mid-Michigan Region.
