ASME accepting applications for the 2023 Magazine Internship Program

ASME is now accepting applications for the 2023 Magazine Internship Program. The deadline to apply is December 1, 2022. Information about the Magazine Internship Program can be found at   asmeinternship.org ; we ask that you share this information with your students.  This year the Magazine Internship Program expects to offer 20 students the opportunity to intern at magazines and websites primarily in New York. Students who have been nominated by academic departments and career-guidance offices are given preference over other applicants from the same school. Colleges and universities are asked to nominate no more than two students.

  VISTA Program year long paid Internships/Fellowships:   Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club  has 3 new opportunities available, with interviews over the coming few weeks. These are yearlong, 30 hour/week commitments, through the VISTA program  ( Volunteers in Service to America ) . While the pay a modest $16,200, at the end of 12 months the VISTA member gets a $6,500 tuition reimbursement for existing or future student tuition loans. Healthcare and other benefits are also available. Of the 100 scholarships, (60) ethnic minority undergraduate students will receive scholarships of $2,000 each and (40) graduate students will receive scholarships of $3,250 each.  Students must be attending four-year accredited institutions in the U.S. and majoring in the fields of advertising, marketing or public relations. Program Description: The scholarship recipients will receive a trip to either New York City, Portland, OR, or Minneapolis, MN where they will participate in career building activities.
