Working Families Party 2022 Student Internship/Fellowship!

Weekly Hours: 25 hrs                                                                                                     Pay: $20.50/hour

About CJI: The Criminal Justice Initiative at the Working Families Party works in coalition with local and national organizations to identify and recruit outstanding District Attorneys, Sheriffs, and Judges who center decarceral policies in their platform, and provide support to community-led efforts to elect them. We're working to build a grassroots, national movement of activists who are interested in helping elect progressive candidates across the country who will reimagine what justice means to our communities.

Objective: The Criminal Justice Initiative at the Working Families Party is excited to present our internship or fellowship program (see distinction below) to students and emerging activists. Through this program, participants will engage in our criminal justice reform work—everything from our DA and Sheriff electoral efforts to our policy and communications operations. Interns or fellows will also gain essential persuasion skills required to learn how to communicate with voters the urgency of voting in District Attorney, Sheriff, and judges races. Our fellows and interns will become an integral element in bringing real change to this country’s criminal justice system.
