                                                 The Twin Cities PR BIPOC Explorer,


A wonderful virtual opportunity for your students taking place from September, 2022 - April, 2023. Six Minneapolis leading communications agency partners have created The Twin Cities PR BIPOC Explorer, a virtual externship program designed for BIPOC students interested in learning more about the practice of public relations and communications. As the consortium states, “We are working together to diversify the make-up of the PR industry to better represent the world and the messages we put into it.”  

 

Applications are open now through June 29. 

 

Below is a bit more information about the program:

 

What students will experience

 

  • Students get immersed in a real-world look at the communications and PR agency profession through a direct-access learning program led by six leading Twin Cities PR agencies.
  • Students will be assigned to a professional mentor who can help connect them with future internship and job opportunities.
  • The entire program will be virtual.
  • Students should plan to commit to participating in two 90-minute virtual workshops a month.
  • Each student will receive a $1,000 stipend for participation.
