Virtual Internship at the Library of Congress for Summer 2022

Newly launched internship with the Library of Congress. We are now recruiting for this opportunity! The submission window is short, but we hope that you may share this opportunity with your students!

The internship is a full-time (at least 33 hours per week) and virtual internship that lasts 10 weeks in the Summer.  This program allows interns to work under the guidance of a LOC manager in a department whose focus matches the student's interests. There are a large number of positions open for Summer in a variety of fields including, but not limited to Computer Science, Communications, History, Art, Museum Studies, Library Science, etc.

This is a fully-funded program meaning that all costs are paid for, and students will receive a quite sizable stipend to compensate them for their time and work. Professional development sessions and extensive networking opportunities are also included for the students to enhance their knowledges and marketability.

Applications for our Library of Congress Summer 2022 Session just opened and are due March 7, 2022, by 11:59 PM ET. The Summer session will start on June 6, 2022, and last till August 12, 2022. All students enrolled or accepted for the following term in a degree-granting program are allowed to apply. Individuals from underrepresented groups are highly encouraged to apply.
